PACE was tasked with delivering a comprehensive scope of civil engineering works as part of the Brockenhurst life extension scheme. Contracted to provide experienced civils teams, PACE undertook various ancillary works integral to the project's success. These encompassed enabling works for a new project compound, de-vegetation, and cable pulling teams, alongside the implementation of various hardstandings, ground retention measures, line-of-route enhancements, and handrail installations. Among the key challenges faced by PACE in this project were the constraints of a tight schedule and limited access. Addressing these challenges head-on, PACE actively engaged with the project team to facilitate last-minute plant and resource adjustments, ensuring that the necessary capabilities were in place to meet the client's and project's requirements.
